متن کاملComputerize classification of Benign and malignant thyroid nodules by ultrasound imaging
Introduction: Early detection and treatment of thyroid nodules increase the cure rate and provide optimal treatment. Ultrasound is the chosen imaging technique for assessment of thyroid nodules. Confirmation of the diagnosis usually demands repeated fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB). So, current management, has morbidity and non zero mortality. The goal of the present study ...
متن کاملAutomatic Classification of Benign And Malignant Liver Tumors In Ultrasound Images
Introduction: Differentiation of benign and malignant liver tumors is very important for finding appropriate treatment procedure. Human eyes sometime are not able to diagnose the type of liver tumor. Texture analysis is considered as a suitable method to increase the diagnostic power of medical images. In this study texture analysis is employed in order to classification of ben...

In this work to provide the information about an object clinically in terms of its size, shape and type of image for this image segmentation and classification are important tool in medical image processing. Ultrasound imaging is the best way to prediction of which type of thyroid is there. In this paper, images were distinguishing in two groups Benign (non-cancerous) and Malignant (cancerous) ...
متن کاملClassification of Thyroid Nodules in Ultrasound Images Based On Texture Analysis
Thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in the front of the neck. It is found below the voice box. Thyroid nodule is one of the indicative of thyroid cancer. Nodule can be due to the growth of thyroid cells or a cyst in the thyroid gland. It is very important to differentiate between the thyroid nodule as benign or malignant. This paper presents characterization and classification of thyroid nodule...

OBJECTIVE Real-time ultrasound elastography (US-E) is a helpful tool in diagnosing thyroid nodules. This study aims to evaluate thyroid solid nodules, to establish the accuracy of US-E in providing information on the nature of these nodules, and to assess the clinical value of elasticity scores (ES) and strain ratio (SR) in differentiating thyroid solid nodules and to explore its distribution c...
